Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed) with a valid driver’s license for patrols in Doylestown, PA. The role involves mobile and foot patrols to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service to students, staff, and campus visitors.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests through security procedures and campus policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and in accordance with campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting concerns and documenting incidents.
• Assist in creating a welcoming campus environment by giving directions and answering questions.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns to appropriate personnel and documenting incidents accurately.
• Support a welcoming campus environment by providing directions, answering general questions, and maintaining a professional presence during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
