Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Control Driver in Oakland, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with visitors and personnel. This driving position reflects Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture, delivered through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and designated areas of the facility to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, access concerns, and incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
