Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in New York, NY. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access, and provide professional customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a logistics and distribution location.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, yards, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor facility access, verify authorization, and document entries, exits, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner.
• Observe and report conditions affecting operations and complete daily activity reports.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 - 18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter of a logistics and distribution location to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the facility, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document entries, exits, deliveries, and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Observe and report conditions that may affect operations, access control, or security‑related procedures, and complete accurate incident and daily activity reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
