Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard Unarmed Patrol in Syracuse, NY. You will monitor and protect client sites, provide excellent customer service, and uphold access control procedures as part of a collaborative security team.

The role offers flexible scheduling, including evenings, and the chance to grow within a leading security services company. Pay rate is $18.44 per hour with a focus on safety and integrity.

Qualifications

• Must provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers and employees.
• Clear communication and teamwork within a security team.
• Background check will be conducted per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers; follow site procedures for access control, visitor processing, and credential verification.
• Observe truck, trailer, and pedestrian activity around the location and report hazards, damaged property, unusual conditions, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.

• Wed: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
