Security Officer, Patrol and Access Control – New York, NY

As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as logistics & distribution. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.25 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM; Sun 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security procedures, site policies, and, when appropriate, emergency responses at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry/exit activity in accordance with site policies and operational needs.
• Support loss prevention and asset protection by observing loading docks, trailer areas, inventory zones, and high‑traffic work areas, reporting suspicious behavior, damage, or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles, 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Will undergo background investigation as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Will undergo drug screening as permitted by law.
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license if driving is part of the role.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
