Allied Universal in Maspeth, NY is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Unarmed Patrol to safeguard clients across logistics and distribution sites, delivering reliable service in a fast-paced environment. • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, delivery-related disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Observe and report unusual activity, damaged property, unsecured doors or gates, and other security-related concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
