Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Enhanced at our Denver, CO distribution center. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, designed for income stability and growth toward a full-time schedule.

Pay rate is $22.56 per hour. The position emphasizes access control, customer service, and incident response at a logistics site, with baseline requirements including high school diploma and eligibility

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles and 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers and employees by carrying out access control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials and documenting entries.
• Observe inbound/outbound vehicle activity and report abnormalities to leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow post orders and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Distribution Center in Denver, CO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.56 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, issuing appropriate access materials, and following established entry and exit procedures.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle activity, maintain access-related logs, and report unauthorized access attempts, irregularities, or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
