Allied Universal® is hiring for a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at Commerce City, CO. The role offers reliable hours with a fixed anchor shift and extra shifts via the scheduling platform to increase earnings, and pays $21.70 per hour.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out security‑related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain access records.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, follow site‑specific check‑in procedures, and communicate access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, parking locations, loading zones, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Distribution Center in Commerce City, CO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
