Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Dispatch Coordinator in Rapid City, SD. You will coordinate calls, monitor access control, and support quick responses to security-related concerns while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, personnel, contractors, and visitors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls, alarms, service requests, and incident information to appropriate personnel per procedures.
• Monitor systems, access activity, and logs; maintain dispatch records and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents calmly, escalate to leadership or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular patrols and report unusual conditions or security concerns.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.59 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, utility personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls, alarms, service requests, and incident information to appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor communication systems, access activity, and operational alerts; maintain accurate logs, dispatch records, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership, emergency services, and/or designated contacts as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter locations when required, reporting unusual conditions and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
