Job summary

Allied Universal in Washington, DC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Dispatch Communications Hub. You will coordinate security-related communications, monitor systems, document activity, and support prompt incident responses while delivering excellent customer service on a tech/media campus.

Shifts Sat 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM and Sun 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, with a pay rate of $26.44/hour. Applicants may require CPR/First Aid and a background check; a guard card is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology and media campus.
• Monitor channels and technology systems; document calls for service and incidents.
• Dispatch appropriate personnel and coordinate responses to incidents and security matters.
• Maintain logs, reports, and shift records; relay information to supervisors and responders.
• Conduct regular patrols and report security concerns.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology and media campus by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor communication channels, alarms, and/or technology systems; receive and document calls for service, incidents, and critical situations in accordance with site procedures.
• Dispatch appropriate personnel and coordinate responses to incidents, medical events, access concerns, and/or other security-related matters in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift records; communicate timely information to supervisors, site contacts, and responding personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, reporting observed security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
