Job summary

Mary Lanning in Hastings, Nebraska is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for the day shift (6a–6p), every fourth weekend. Under general supervision, you will help protect patients, visitors, staff and hospital assets while patrolling grounds and monitoring access.

Hospital security shall be responsible for building and grounds patrol; provide escort service for visitors and staff; assist in the control of facility access; monitoring systems response; staff assistance with patient intervention / disruption by patients, visitors or staff; traffic control of both vehicular and visitors; investigation of thefts, disturbances and suspicious activity; record keeping and incident reporting; enforcement of hospital safety and security policies and practices; disaster, fire and hazard surveillance.
