Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and/or shoppers while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol in Piscataway, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist customers and staff with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and/or shoppers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
