Job summary

Allied Universal in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Incident Recognition. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, and provide superior customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a dynamic media/tech location.

The role is full-time with a daytime schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM; Sat/Sun 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Applicants will undergo background checks and drug screening; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and media personnel by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate per procedures.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of facility including entrances, production spaces, parking, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, report unusual conditions.
• Complete incident reports and logs accurately per procedures.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Incident Recognition in Secaucus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic media and technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and guests while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and/or media personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, common areas, production-related spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access concerns.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
