Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol in Piscataway, NJ to safeguard clients across industries. The role focuses on unarmed patrols, visible presence, access control, and assisting customers and staff with professionalism.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $20.96 per hour. Candidates should be at least 18 with a high school diploma; CPR certification and computer/tablet comfort are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and/or shoppers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

• Fri: 10:45 PM - 07:15 AM
• Sat: 10:45 PM - 07:15 AM
• Sun: 10:45 PM - 07:15 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
