Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of distribution and shipping areas, parking locations, access points, and perimeter to identify unusual activity.
• Monitor entry and exit of personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with appropriate responders.
• Document observations and incidents in reports and communicate information to site leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Customer Care in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution and shipping areas, parking locations, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor the entry and exit of personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities through accurate reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• At least two years of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Guard card is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
