Job summary

Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Assessment to monitor and protect client sites across distribution facilities. You will provide friendly customer service, conduct unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and report observations per site policies.

The role requires at least 6 months in security, a high school diploma or equivalent, and compliance with background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution location, including building interiors, parking areas, trailer yards, loading docks, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, observe incoming and outgoing vehicle and pedestrian activity, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
