Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Customer Access in Spartanburg, SC. You will protect a technology-focused site, monitor areas, patrol regularly, and provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, strong computer skills, and a preference for CPR/First Aid certification and prior loss prevention or customer service experience. This is a full-time on-site role with a competitive pay rate.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including business spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity per site requirements.
• Report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including business spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and security-related policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
