Allied Universal in Spartanburg, SC is hiring a Security Officer Access Control to manage entry points, verify credentials, and provide courteous service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a construction site.

You will monitor access points, respond to alarms, conduct patrols, document incidents, and uphold site procedures. This full-time role offers a $22.00/hour pay rate and a schedule spanning day/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor and contractor access records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, construction work areas, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and maintain accurate reports of incidents, access activity, and policy violations.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
