Allied Universal in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Security Officer - Access Documentation to monitor facilities, support access control, and deliver professional customer service. You will perform patrols, deter incidents, and communicate with visitors and staff, ensuring safety and compliance across multiple tech/telecom environments.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation as per laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors and team members while supporting access control and loss prevention activities. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, technology-focused work areas, access points, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access activity and visitor entry in accordance with site-specific requirements, helping to deter unauthorized access and reporting irregularities.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with employees, visitors, contractors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
