Job summary

Allied Universal in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Security Officer Site Access to manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and support employees, visitors and operations at a busy logistics and distribution site.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Will be subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, delivery appointments, and/or authorization before permitting entry or exit.
• Monitor entry points, vehicle gates, and access-control systems; document arrivals, departures, denied access attempts, and unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
