Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Credentialing Desk in Memphis, TN to safeguard clients across industries including Logistics & Distribution. You will manage entry points, verify badges, monitor access, and maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors at a logistics site.

Role requires use of computer/tablet systems, professional communication, and a visible security presence. This full-time position offers night shifts and benefits as part of Allied Universal’s team.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, drivers, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, maintaining entry records, and communicating access concerns to site contacts.
• Monitor access points, gates, and vehicle traffic; inspect identification, shipping documentation, and authorization records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and follow reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
