Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Memphis, TN. You will support healthcare access control, verify credentials, and maintain a welcoming, professional presence for employees, visitors, and patients.

Position type is Part Time with a pay rate of $17.65 per hour. Shifts include afternoons and weekends; you will join a proactive team focusing on safety, integrity, and service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possessing a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background investigation will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to employees, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain access-related records.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following escalation procedures.
• Deter unauthorized access by observing activity at entrances and reporting policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter as required by site procedures.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing activity at assigned entrances and reporting unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter, as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possessing a guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
