Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Credential Verification in Port Isabel, TX. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service.

This full-time role requires evening/night shifts and includes responsibilities such as reporting, incident response, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license requirement for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, professional communication.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized entry.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and documentation for access control activities and incidents.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $13.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sat: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sun: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct individuals according to site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and required documentation for access control activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
