Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Registration in Reno, NV to provide reliable, site-specific security with a fixed anchor shift and flexible additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $22.00 per hour. Schedule: Daytime, Saturday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. Earn more by claiming extra shifts; six-month anchor shift commitment; potential to reach up to 40 hours per week.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Registration in Reno, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

DayTimeSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, coordinate access for deliveries and shipments, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, warehouse facilities, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
