Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as Security Officer Credential Issuance in Granite City, IL. You will support access control at an industrial site and provide courteous service.

This full-time role offers $18.50 per hour, a consistent schedule, and opportunities for training and growth within a values-driven team.

You’ll verify credentials, monitor entries, respond to incidents, and help keep employees and visitors safe.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen will be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Monitor and control access to the industrial location by verifying credentials, processing visitors, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle, personnel, and material traffic in accordance with site procedures, reporting irregularities or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and operational areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

• Thur: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
