Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution while following security procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned areas; verify credentials and visitor authorization; maintain logs/reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; notify appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular patrols of interior/exterior areas to identify hazards and security concerns.
• Assist in protecting confidential information and restricted locations by following procedures for access, deliveries, keys.

As a Security Officer - Bank Headquartersin New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.59 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeWed04:00 PM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned areas; verify credentials and visitor authorization in accordance with site requirements; and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security‑related concerns.
• Assist with the protection of confidential information and sensitive areas by following established procedures for access, deliveries, keys, and restricted locations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
