Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in New York, NY. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform, enabling greater earnings and site exposure.

This position provides reliable hours at a banking site with opportunities to scale to up to 40 hours weekly, while maintaining flexibility for personal needs and career growth.

Qualifications

• Background check required by federal/state/local laws.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution while following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate observations and concerns to site contacts and leadership as appropriate.

As a Security Officer Commercial Office in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
