Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Flex Corporate Building Patrol in New York, NY. You will deliver customer service to tenants and visitors, perform patrols, monitor access, and respond calmly to incidents in accordance with site procedures.

The role offers flexible shifts with anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform. Prior security experience is not required, and training is provided.

As a Security Guard Flex Corporate Building Patrol in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or clients while carrying out site‑specific procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, promptly reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout commercial property interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific requirements, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and maintenance or security‑related concerns through clear and timely reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
