Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer for a Global Bank Headquarters in New York, NY. You will monitor access points, provide exceptional customer service, and uphold site-specific policies while maintaining logs and reporting incidents.

The role requires a NYS Security Guard License and at least 1 year of security experience; CPR and customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site procedures; document and report unusual activity, policy violations, and security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, business areas, parking locations, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, manage access control activities, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
