Position Overview

The Security Officer plays a key role in maintaining a safe healthcare environment. The role includes greeting visitors, handling confrontations, providing issue management and support, safeguarding employees, patients, visitors, providers and property, and responding to alarms, emergency requests, de‑escalation tactics, and resolving safety incidents. Security Officers may also be required to manage agitated or aggressive patients or visitors.

Compensation Range

$18.56 - $26.92 per hour, depending on experience

Benefits Eligibility

You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.

Full-time, .9 Night Rotation available. 12 hour shifts.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• OR
• Will accept 3 years of Security Officer experience in lieu of education requirement

Preferred

• One year experience in a Security related field.

License/Certification – Minimum Required

• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record if candidate will be driving a vehicle while working, or if not, must have a valid NYS ID Card.
• Must meet requirements of the New York State Security Guard Licensing program and successfully pass within 3 months of hire.
