Job summary

UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital is seeking a Facilities Maintenance teammate to perform mechanical, electrical, plumbing and groundskeeping duties on-site in the hospital campus. You will work under direct supervision in a day shift, with a 40-hour work week and a pay range of $18.56–$26.92 per hour based on experience.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license; preferred candidates have trade school training and 0-2 years of skilled trades experience,

• Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent.0-2 years skilled trades experience and/or apprenticeship.
• Preferred: Trade School; 2 years experience in operational maintenance and engineering, healthcare setting preferred.

• Perform mechanical, electrical, plumbing and groundskeeping duties in and around the hospital.
• May contact with patients across ages; ensure safe, clean and functional facilities.

Position Overview

Works under direct supervision while performing operational needs at the facility which includes but is not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and groundskeeping duties in and around the Hospital. May have contact with all ages; pediatrics, adult and geriatric patients/residents.

Primary Work Shift: Day

Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Compensation Range: $18.56 - $26.92 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience

• Minimum Required: High School diploma or equivalent 0-2 years skilled trades experience and/or demonstrated experience as an apprentice or equivalent.
• Preferred: Graduation from Trade School Two (2) years experience in operational level maintenance and engineering; experience in a healthcare setting.

License/Certification

• Minimum Required: Must have a valid driver's license in good standing.
• Preferred: N/A
• In lieu of the above minimum requirements, an equivalent combination of experience and certification that fall within the limits of minimum requirements and preferred will be considered.
