Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Perimeter Observation in Philadelphia, PA. You will provide campus security, deter incidents, and deliver customer service to students, staff, and visitors while upholding Allied Universal’s values.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal, state, and local laws.
• Criminal history considered in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Complete clear and accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation while providing a professional presence throughout the educational location.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
