Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard (Unarmed Patrol) in Philadelphia, PA. The role focuses on protecting students, staff and guests while delivering professional customer service and maintaining a visible security presence on campus.

You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with a calm, solution-oriented approach. The schedule is set for multiple afternoon/evening shifts, with opportunities to engage with the education community daily.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge processing preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report unusual activity, facility concerns, access-control issues, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel while helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

• Mon 02:15 PM - 06:15 PM
• Wed 02:15 PM - 10:45 PM
• Thur 02:15 PM - 10:15 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badge processing is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
