Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Guard (Unarmed Patrol Access Support) in Philadelphia, PA. The role includes protecting clients, patrolling campus areas, monitoring entrances, and delivering professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

The schedule is set as part-time with evenings after school hours, and you will use our shift-claim platform to build your hours. Qualifications include at least two years of security experience, familiarity with access control

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while performing site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residences, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and contact campus personnel as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with supervisors and campus personnel.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with supervisors, campus representatives, and other Allied Universal personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
