Job summary

Allied Universal in San Diego, CA is seeking a Security Officer Bank Patrol to safeguard clients across financial institutions and other sites. You will monitor areas, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while reporting observations according to site protocols.

This full-time position offers a daytime/night schedule with unarmed patrols, a background check, and a drug screening. Candidates must meet age and licensing requirements as applicable.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Bank Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment while reporting observations and responding to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of financial institution facilities, offices, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
