Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Overnight Security Officer for a Financial Building in San Diego, CA. You will patrol, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and provide courteous customer service to employees and visitors.

The schedule is overnight, part-time, with a pay rate of $23.00 per hour. Candidates should have at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and be able to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while observing and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct guests to appropriate areas as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities.
• Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
