Job summary

Allied Universal in El Monte, CA is hiring a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol) to protect clients across financial institutions and other facilities. You will patrol, monitor access points, provide customer service, and respond to incidents with professionalism and teamwork.

Qualifications include at least 2 years security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preference for badge/guard card. Position offers hourly pay and daytime/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking locations, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
