Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, invites applications for a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in San Diego, CA. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and report security concerns while delivering excellent customer service to employees and visitors. Position Type: Full Time.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations according to post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
