As a Security Officer – Armed Banking Patrols in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions. This part‑time role allows you to build a schedule that works for you and to explore new opportunities using our Claim a Shift platform.

Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour
Job Schedule: Tue 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM; Fri 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, participate in emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the financial institution’s premises and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual occurrences.
• Monitor and report any security‑related concerns or hazards identified during patrols to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and on‑site personnel to support the security‑related needs of the location.

Minimum Requirements

• Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience or possess a college degree.
• Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
