Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Armed Protection Patrol in Sioux Falls, SD. You will patrol interiors and exteriors, deter incidents, and respond to security concerns while delivering excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

The role requires a minimum of two years in law enforcement or similar fields, a concealed carry permit, and a high school diploma. Comprehensive training and background checks are part of the process.

• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and in accordance with established protocols.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately and communicate findings to supervision and site management.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Protection Patrol in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $23.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess a CPO.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
