Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Concealed carry weapons permit required.
• CPO certification required.
• Valid driver’s license as per policy.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents and alarms following established procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of interior/exterior areas and perimeter access points.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as required by site policies.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and daily logs.

As a Security Officer Armed Response Driver in Sioux Falls, SD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:30 AM - 06:30 PM
• Thur: 06:30 AM - 06:30 PM
• Fri: 06:30 AM - 01:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and/or delivery credentials in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess a CPO certification.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
