Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Readiness for a part-time role at a government transit location in Queens, NY. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents to ensure rider and staff safety while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires an armed license (preferred), high school diploma or GED, and successful background and drug screening in compliance with federal and local laws. Schedule includes overnight shifts.

• Maintain armed presence, assist with incident documentation, and coordinate with site contacts and responders.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $32.70 - $33.70 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time: Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism in a government facility environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, entrances, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
• Maintain an armed presence in assigned areas, support incident documentation and communication, and coordinate with site contacts and/or public responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
