Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and the public by following security procedures and site policies; participate in emergency response activities for a government transportation headquarters location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor restricted areas, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity and policy violations as per site procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports in compliance with laws, regulations and Allied Universal policies.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation headquarters location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while following applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
