Allied Universal in Queens, NY is seeking a part-time Security Officer Armed Part Time Credential Patrol to protect clients in transit facilities. You will conduct routine patrols, deter security incidents, and provide professional communication and customer service.

This role requires an armed license, a high school diploma or GED, and a background check. Pay rate is $34.70–$35.70 per hour with daytime shifts listed in the schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit locations, including platforms, stations, entrances, concourses, parking areas, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activities for unusual conditions, reporting security-related concerns, hazards, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures to help deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned transit locations, including platforms, stations, entrances, concourses, parking areas, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activities for unusual conditions, reporting security-related concerns, hazards, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
