Qualifications

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government location following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Demonstrate regular and random armed patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and verify entry/exit and movement at access points per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, professional reporting.
• Meet licensing requirements and complete security training as mandated.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government corrections location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, exit, and movement within assigned areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and prepare required reports.
• Maintain awareness of conditions throughout the assigned location and promptly report hazards, unusual activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
