Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while following site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and parking to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access and verify credentials for personnel, visitors, vendors, and vehicles per post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and contact appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and logs related to patrols, incidents, access activity, and security observations.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and parking locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, vendors, and/or vehicles in accordance with established post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
