Qualifications

• Concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• Armed guard card or license required.

• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Conduct armed patrols at healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and assist with access control.
• Maintain armed post qualifications and follow laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Enhanced Part Time in Talladega, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with facility personnel and public emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with access control and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and follow applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies regarding assigned equipment and incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
