Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel while carrying out site‑specific security procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, reporting access concerns and suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and documenting relevant details.
• Prepare clear and timely reports regarding patrol observations, incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security‑related matters.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driving Operations in Montgomery, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.93 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, reporting access concerns and suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and documenting relevant details.
• Prepare clear and timely reports regarding patrol observations, incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security‑related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
