Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Overnight in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through clear communication and exceptional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with facility personnel and first responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control, and the enforcement of site-specific policies while maintaining a professional presence.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
