Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol with a DoD Secret Clearance for our Arlington, VA location. This part-time role features a pay rate of $28.33 per hour and a daytime-night schedule.

You will provide security services, respond to incidents, and conduct regular armed patrols while upholding exceptional customer service and teamwork. The position requires an Armed Guard Card/License, DoD Secret Clearance, and compliance with background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Armed Guard Card/License required or equivalent credentials.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Pepper Spray and Handcuffing certifications preferred.
• 21+ years old for armed roles.
• Background checks and drug screening will be conducted as per law.

Responsibilities

As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-focused culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report security-related conditions, suspicious activity, and access-control concerns to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
